ANANIAS Apartments

First of all a big thank you to the following couples who made this a perfect holiday, Terry and Anne

John and Phyllis, Sam and Lucy, Sandy, and everyone else we mixed with.

On arrival rooms not ready due to leavers etc., so made full use of bar area, and getting to know everyone there, beautiful views overlooking the sea, Buildings still looking a bit for wear, a good paint job would freshen them up, On arrival in the rooms (135) upstairs first impressions very basic, good fridge size, cooking = 2 rings, assorted pans etc., and electric kettle, so you need to be aware before planning any large dinner parties, but we managed fine,

Bathroom lack of plugs which is the norm, and no shower hook for shower head, so you need to be good at multi-tasking, at the end of a shower, normally 4 to 6inches water in the bath around your feet, so be prepared, slow drainage, Towels fresh and hard, and changed mid-week, note you get your first toilet roll free, then you buy your own, good super market right down the road.

Bed Area Clean bed linen pillows etc., again changed mid-week, basic but done the job, well it’s only somewhere to crash out, Floor areas were cleaned each day, Plenty of cupboard space.

So ideal for a basic base if you want 5 star stay away.

The apartments are run by Yianni and his family, great company, and you need to sit and talk to them over a beer to find out why the resort is in decline, but that’s another story. Yianni makes everyone welcome as well as John behind the bar,

Breakfasts served are good value at either 3.5 euros or 5 euros also other bar meals good value.

Bar prices kept the same over the last 3 years, beer 3 euros, spirits around 2.5 to 4 euros.

Pool area free loungers, etc. first come first served,

Ideal for a chill out week would we go back, yes next year, would we recommend it, yes but you need to know what you are coming to,
